I have found it does not blend up food well. It shakes a lot when on high. I don't find it does much on low!! The place you put food in is very small.

Bought this Food Processor 5 days ago. First opportunity to use it was last night, and it started smoking while using it. Granted, it was under some strain as I was mixing meat for meatballs, but it was not overloaded. It would stop, smoke and then not start until I unlocked and relocked the main container unit. After this, it would start again and then stop, smoke and only restart after unlocking and locking. I halved the amount I was processing and the problem stopped. Not sure what to do at this point, Kitchen Aid, suggestions?

I have only all around high praise for this food processor. Since it's light and not bulky, I can lift and store it with no issues. And if I choose to keep it on the counter, it does not take up much room, which is a really good thing on my limited counter space. Now, as for its actual performance, I say it is terrific. The set-up is quick and easy, and the buttons are simple to use. I love this little machine.

I recently purchased my Kitchenaid 7cup food processor. So far I've used it to make bread crumbs for meatloaf and to make biscuits. Both turned out very well. Plan on lots of coleslaw and carrot salad in the future. This is my second Kitchenaid appliance I have. The first is my Ocean Blue 5 qt. standmixer I received for Christmas last year. There has been Many goodies from that one I'll tell you !!!

My son gave me the 7 cup food processor in Empire Red for Christmas, I love it! Not only is it beautiful and matches the rest of my Kitchenaid appliances. I first chopped vegetables for homemade soup. It was so quick and easy, and clean up was so fast. Next I made pie crust, and it was amazing! The crust turned out to be light and flaky, and so quick. No more pastry blender and elbow grease needed. I just made some ham, cheddar and grn onion scones. Just a few pulses and the dough was ready to form. Love, love, love my Kitchenaid 7 cup food processor. Made my life easier for sure!

The snap-on jar and hinge lid is awesome. I always fumbled with lining up and twisting my mom's food processor. It's so easy to get the lid on and off of this one to stir and scoop things. I keep in on the counter to chop onions and garlic and shred carrots. I don't mind using it to prep small items because it's so easy to clean.

The sealed lid and click-in base are nice practical upgrades to this long neglected kitchen appliance. The seal and latch work great. The blades slide easily on and off over the post which make prep and clean-up easy. Being able to simply lift the bowl off with one hand is actually a really nice subtle improvement as well - i didn't realize until my first time using it that having to hold the base and turn the bowl to lift it up was actually an annoying step.....glad they figured that out! The motor feels strong and the controls - as they should be - are simple. Noise levels are quite low - unless your chopping something hard like nuts, but hey, you should expect that.
As usual, KitchenAid produces a handsome unit bearing their typical design simplicity and confident branding. Two cons I'll offer up: 1) The base material is plastic. It could fool you if you're standing at a distance, but you feel it immediately. Would love to see a classic, heavy steel base version. 2) Though you have a sealed top which allows you to pour without leaks, the blades are not secured in place, which means when you go to pour anything out, the blades slide up and allow everything inside to slide under them - pretty frustrating if you'd like to keep working your mixture at all.
All in, though there are a couple more steps to get it to perfection, it's a great unit and will serve you well.

I am really enjoying my food processor. I can't believe how much time is saved in the kitchen now. This processor does so many things I love it chops , dices ,purées and so much more. I've used it for making salsas, chopping fruits and vegetables I've even made smoothies it's wonderful. No more sore hands from chopping those onions and other foods. The cord is plenty long and it doesn't take up much space on the counter top at all. I really like how easy it is to use and it's cleans easily as well. It's very durable and the quality is great. I like how it has a clamp that keeps the lid secure during use. The design is awesome. Very pleased with this product I have no doubt it will last me years and years .

I am so pleased with the Kitchenaid 7 cup food processor. Very easy to use and easy to clean. Made of high quality materials and is not as loud as my old food processor. I love that it is large and holds 7 cups. I have used it to shred cheese, slice vegetables and chop chicken breast for chicken salad sandwiches. I like that all when done you can throw in the dishwasher. All the parts fit together which makes storage easy. I am very happy with the KitchenAid Food Processor and highly recommend it.

Kitchenaid 7 cup food processor is an excellent food processor, it came with two attachment, one blade which helps in chopping, blending and other attachment is reversible which helps in shredding and slicing veggies. I tried tomato, lentils, cabbage, carrots, cottage cheese, and the output was excellent as can be seen in pictures. Good thing is even i can chop small quantity too. It does not take a lot of space for storage, as all attachment can be store inside processor. Also its very easy to clean. I am very satisfied with this little helper for my daily cooking.

The perfect size for my family! 7 cups at first didnt seem like enough but since using and fine runing. It is the perfect size. Overall I love the size. It's small enough to store conveniently but high enough to do what I'm wanting. Preparing/pureeing/ chopping or anything else has never been easier. I used the processor yesterday for the first time to make mashed cauliflower and it worked great! The processor is easy to assemble and worked quickly and effectively. It was easy to take apart and clean as well. I love that the top attaches easily and you can open it to check on the food without having to completely remove it and put it on the counter. I love that there are 3 different blade options as well based on your cooking needs. The settings are easy to use and I love that I don't have to hold down the button to use it. I can hit the button and walk away for a minute while the processor runs. It also looks great with other red KitchenAid products!

I received a red Kitchen-Aid food processor which worked perfectly because my kitchen is decorated in red! The food processor has multi-function buttons dependent upon what you want to do whether it is chopping, mixing or whatever. The processor has some weight to it so you can tell that the machine is good quality and will last a lifetime if taken care of. The instructions to put it together can easily be read and it comes with a dvd to help assist you if you've never used a food processor and need some pointers. This is an all around great product to have in your household and can save you tons of time during the holidays! I'm so happy I got this!

The size of this product is great for making large batches of things. The only thing I didn't like was certain items really weren't processed well. Carrots were a bit difficult and cheese actually clumped up towards the end. Clean up wasn't bad surprisingly. Storage is something to consider when purchasing this large of a size.

Well ever since we received this 7 cup food processer by kitchenaid, we have been using it every other day. I can not believe I used to use a knife and take the time it did to fix dinner. We had a challenged the day after we got it and I will NEVER go back to just a knife. This makes everything so simple form vegetables to dough. I make flour tortillas and this is GREAT. I love the time saver and the easy cleaning and the different slicers available I love this. I am even taking up making cookies...lol I am fully content and I actually purchased one for my mother. GREAT KITCHEN MUST HAVE

Oh mylanta!!! Shocked, happy, impressed, blown away were some of the words that I screamed literally after the first use of this gorgeous KitchenAid food processor! The parts were simple to come apart to wash before trying it out. It can go on the top rack of the dishwasher but I hand washed mine. It comes with a 2 piece food pusher, 7 cup work bowl, drive adapter, work bowl cover with 2 in 1 feed tube, a reversible slicing/shredding disc and a multipurpose stainless steel blade! With this sweet food processor you can chop, mince, purée, mix, slice and shred! I cannot believe how efficient and practical it really is! I've never owned a food price before my KitchenAid but, wow, so ecstatic to have this one as my first! Now I can get food chopped faster for dishes I make or sauces prepared easier! I can do anything and everything I never could before, easier, faster and much prettier then when I do the chopping by hand! The KitchenAid food processor is so easy to use, easy to clean and what a beautiful addition to any kitchen!

This is by far an amazing product. I have had a few good food processors in the past but nothing compared to this. The 7 cup food processor is very durable, large capacity and has 3 speed options high, low and pulse. The features are the highlight of the product. It chops, purees, shreds, and slices with precision. It's easy to use, the twist-free leak resistant bowl has a latched lid that locks. It's easy to clean and dishwasher safe. All the accessories can be stored inside which makes storage simpler. Now the blades are very sharp and handle all types of foods. My favorite feature is the adjustable feed tube. I make a lot of sauces and dressings and the small pusher features an oil drizzle opening for the emulsifying. Overall, easy to use, large capacity, powerful and precise. Definitely one of best in high performance food processors. I highly recommend the Kitchen Aid Brand in food processors.

I received my red Kitchenaid Food Processor a few days ago. Plenty of time to give it a try. I diced vegetables, shredded cheese and pureed tomatoes. The disks are reversible and all attachments can be stored inside the bowl. I especially like the hinged lid which can be locked in place and lifts off for easy cleaning. Bowl and all attachments are dishwasher safe in the top rack. Suction cup feet keep the food processor securely in place. The cord can be stored by wrapping underneath the motor. The food processor is quiet, not heavy and a joy to use.

I never knew what I was missing until I got this KitchenAid - 7 Cup Food Processor! It's made work in the kitchen so much more enjoyable, not to mention easier! =) The slicing/shredding disc is an absolute time saver however you look at it! We use this little helper every time we need to chop, slice, dice, or shred! It's even great for making mashed potatoes! The cleanup of this KitchenAid Food Processor is so easy, too! All of the components (not the base) are top rack dishwasher safe, which is a plus in my book. You just can't go wrong with this item! It's great in every way!

My family really loves this food processor. We love the color and how it looks sitting on the counter. It was easy to set up and very easy to understand. The opening is wide enough to fit large squash half's in! I love that the slicing and grating blade can also be stored inside the container and the whole machine was very easy to clean.

I absolutely love this KitchenAid 7 cup food processor. It's large enough to make salsas, dips, veggies, juices, etc for large parties. The uses are endless. The style is slick and easy to use. Putting away and the tear down is quick and easy. I have used it several times since getting this and I love the fact that you have the ability to choose how chunky or smooth the consistency is. It's definitely durable and built right
